PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

 

 

On behalf of the Atlantic Regional Members of Papillon Canada I welcome you to Halifax and the 8th  Papillon Canada National Specialty.

 

To our out of province (and country) guests I hope you enjoy your stay in Nova Scotia and plan to take the opportunity to explore the province after the Specialty is over.

 

Many thanks to the following Club members who went above and beyond to make this Specialty an event to remember:

 

First to my daughter, Yvonne Darris, who has spent the past 1 ½ years collecting an impressive collection of items for our Silent and Bidding Auctions. Your efforts on behalf of the Club are truly appreciated by us all.

 

Secondly to Alanna Downton who, with hubby John, ensured that the original artwork awards were properly matted and, in the case of the major awards, framed so they could be truly beautiful presentations. 

 

Thirdly, to Bett Nielsen who was responsible for coordinating the Banquet, ribbons and myriad other behind the scenes activities in spite of her very hectic work schedule in the past few months.

 

My sincere thanks to all of the Regional members who have helped make this Specialty happen.  Your support and hard work have not gone un-noticed.

 

My wish for all participants is that you take home blue ribbons and golden memories and promise to return again soon.

Original artwork by Anne Downton (NL) will be awarded to the winners of Best in Specialty, Best Opposite Sex in Specialty, Best Puppy in Specialty, Best of Winners, Winners Dog, Winners Bitch and to the highest scoring Papillon at the Halifax Kennel Club Obedience trial on Sept 1st.

 

In addition to the Club prizes, a Royal Doulton clock has been donated by Pat Groff (Maximilian) for Best Puppy in Specialty

 

Prints by Catherin McMillan will be awarded to the Reserve Winners Male and Reserve Winners Female.

 

Original artwork by Julie Deans (ON) will be awarded to all Class Winners, to all Unofficial Class winners and to each Papillon that earns a qualifying score in the HKC Trial on Sept 1st

 

Royal Canin is offering Thermal coffee mugs and dog food samples to the Specialty’s major award winners
